With the ability to operate on gasoline, cleaner burning LP (propane)or natural gas fuels to meet a variety of power generation needs, the Winco Tri-Fuel (or Hybrid Fuel) Generator offers the ultimate in flexibility while maintaining an environmentally friendly design. Operating on propane or natural gas increases your run time, will not gum up your generator's carburetor, and gives you quick, reliable starts. It is very easy to to convert from regular gasoline to propane and then to natural gas. To operate on vapor fuels you simply turn off the gasoline fuel line, connect the proper t-valve fitting for the selected fuel, and connect the main fuel supply. After start, the engine is capable of providing hours of uninterrupted power from an adequate fuel supply. Furthermore, unlike gasoline, propane can be stored for years without going bad. The unit is a great alternative to a permanently mounted standby back up generator.
This generator is powered by premium quality, long-life, durable Honda GX630 688cc OHV engine with low oil protection that helps prevent costly repairs and downtime. This powerful, high-quality generator features inherent voltage regulation and protection for optimum reliability and safety. With a special carburetor and secondary gas regulator, the engine can operate on your most convenient fuel: gasoline, LP gas, or natural gas.
The WINCO Tri-Fuel Generator features a maintenance free electronic ignition system, dual element air filter to reduce maintenance, inherent voltage regulation for precise, stable output and optimum reliability, 100% copper windings (NEMA class F insulation), capacitator excitation for brushless operation, special 120/240 volt receptacle for connection to a temporary power distribution system or to a building's electrical service with an approved manual transfer switch for emergency/standby use, standard straight blade (U-ground 120V duplex receptacles), circuit breaker overload protection, protective cradle (heavy duty tubular steel cradle with distinctive wrap-around design for added strength and durability), vibration isolation for smooth operation, and standard electric start with battery rack and cables (battery not included).
This generator features a current of 120V and 240V AC, a continuous current rating of 90/45 Amps, (2) dual 120V 3 prong/straight blade outlets (NEMA 5-20R, standard household plug), (1) 120/240V 30A twist lock (NEMA L14-30), (1) 120/240V 60A straight blade (NEMA 14-60R), a 15 gallon fuel tank capacity, noise level of 78dB at 7 meters, a 14.5 hour run time @ 50% load, and a 9 hour run time @ 100% load.
Comparing against an aftermarket conversion kit applied unit or thinking of buying an aftermarket conversion kit to install yourself on your old gasoline generator? Be careful! Don't count on a modified generator to offer the synergistic ease of switching between gasoline, natural gas, and LP gas. Don't count on seamless warranty claims or parts service with a unit that no one claims as their own. You can count on the manufacturer pointing the finger at the conversion kit and you can count on the conversion kit maker pointing the finger at the manufacturer. WINCO has been offering quality and smooth running American Built tri-fuel generators since 1984.
Multi-fuel generators utilizing vapor fuels must be started using electric start system. Recoil start will not crank the engine/fly-wheel fast enough to provide the proper vacuum to make the vapor fuel system function. Do not use the choke when operating on vapor fuels (propane or natural gas) as it will prevent a proper air to fuel mix ratio. Power ratings are based upon gasoline use. Derate 10% for LP gas and 20% for natural gas.
Hose,, and LP tank not included (see owner's manual for more information)
